Ramón Rodríguez portrays the titular character on the ABC police procedural series as well as serving as an executive producer on the show.
Toward the of the finale, the viewers learn that Will took a duffel bag and his chihuahua Betty and disappeared. On the eve of the premiere of, Rodríguez disclosed Will’s whereabouts in a new interview.
Rodríguez explained where his character has been in the intermediate period between Seasons 2 and 3 of Will Trent. Notably, Will Trent premiered on ABC on January 3, 2023, with Season 2 debuting on February 20, 2024.
While speaking to TV Insider, Rodríguez revealed that Will had been in rural Tennessee along with Betty. “Season 3 starts off with where we went at the end of Season 2,” he elaborated. “We just know he disappeared.
We don’t know where he went. We don’t know what he did. And we learn that he went to … rural Tennessee with him and Betty, and he kind of tried to start over.” Rodríguez also mentioned that the series would make it clear that some time had passed between the second and third seasons by underscoring how different the main character would look from previous chapters.
