Deadpool co-creator recently addressed the character’s absence on X (formerly Twitter), sparking speculation. Fans have questioned why Cable, a significant figure in Deadpool 2, was not included in the latest installment.

The film featured many multiverse elements and callbacks, making the character’s exclusion more noticeable. Rob Liefeld, co-creator of Deadpool, has alleged that Marvel Studios prevented Josh Brolin’s Cable from appearing in Deadpool & Wolverine.

On January 8, 2025, Liefeld wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Shouldn’t have blocked him from Deadpool & Wolverine. All time boner move.” He also shared fan art of Brolin as DC’s Darkseid.
