There's a subtle Star Wars reference hidden in Men In Black's classic coffee scene that's easy to miss. Following the success of Ghostbusters in 1984, several movies have tried to recapture the movie's seamless blend of comedy and blockbuster. This includes the likes ofEvolution or Adam Sandler's Pixels, but few managed to pull it off with the vigor of Men In Black. This cast Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith as agents for an agency that monitors and keeps a lid on alien activity on Earth, and the original movie was a great fusion of buddy comedy and sci-fi blockbuster.
Sadly, none of the sequels lived up to the first entry's promise. Men In Black II (which at least has a good cast) felt like a tired retread, Men In Black 3 had its moments — especially thanks to Josh Brolin's uncanny Tommy Lee Jones impression as «young» Agent K — while Men In Black: International tried to reboot the series with new leads. In the latter case, not even reteaming Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth after Thor: Ragnorok could overcome the sequel's stale humor.

The original Men In Black is impressive not only for the amount of worldbuilding it contains but also for doing so in a lean runtime by modern standards. Despite the amount of creature effects Men In Black features, one of the scenes viewers remember most is when Jones' Agent K heads into a break room to get some coffee at MiB headquarters, and Smith's J sees him talking to a group of alien worms who are also drinking coffee and smoking. It's the scene that establishes to J that aliens truly exist, while also being a hilarious little sequence in its own right. This Men In Black coffee scene also has a hidden Star
