Co-op creature-riding action RPG Coridden for PC launches January 29

Cooperative creature-riding action RPG Coridden will launch for PC via Steam and GOG on January 29 for $19.99, Anshar Publishing and developer Aftnareld announced. “Coridden offers a fun twist on shapeshifting: defeat a beast to be able to transform into it.

The change is smooth and effortless, and it gives you access to a whole new set of abilities,” said Anshar Publishing community manager Feanen in a press release. “But the true essence lies in Coridden‘s combat—discover fun elemental combinations, stack effects, and enjoy action-packed skirmishes against packs of beasts!

Additionally, Coridden encourages players to embark on adventures together with friends, to explore locations overtaken by wildlife, solve environmental puzzles, and uncover hidden treasures.

It seems like Square's finally consistently taking the PC ports of Final Fantasy seriously
There may be no better use case for the reaction guys than the 2015 E3 announcement of Final Fantasy 7 Remake—screams, meltdowns, tears of joy—and the 2021 release of the stuttery PC version of that same game: screams, meltdowns, tears of bitter disappointment. It was a shamefully barebones release of what should have been a huge game for Square Enix, made even harder to swallow by its 20-month delay after the console release and exclusivity on the Epic Games Store.

The finale of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided wasn't much-loved by fans, which was surprising because you'd think Deus Ex: Human Revolution would have lowered expectations. But it's like the classic bad restaurant joke, where the food's terrible and what's worse, the portions are small. Mankind Divided's climax wasn't just an underwhelming battle against a guy who seemed more like a miniboss—when the credits suddenly roll afterward you realize you're not going to get a second hub city and another dozen hours of hacking people's emails to find out if they're in the Illuminati or not. It's just over.
