French games giant Ubisoft has hired Sébastien Froidefond as its new chief people officer. They will be starting on November 20th and will be reporting into Cécile Russeil, the company's EVP of comms, corporate affairs, DEI, accessibility, HR and legal.
Froidefond has worked in the human resources industry for over 30 years, most recently as HR lead for the Americas for food firm Groupe Lactalis. "As Chief People Officer, Sébastien will be responsible for a broad range of HR functions, including talent development, workplace culture, global recruiting, talent management, leadership development, compensation and benefits," Ubisoft wrote. "He will also play a crucial role in ensuring that HR contributes significantly to the company's overall strategic objectives." Ubisoft's previous chief people officer, Anika Grant, departed the company back in November 2023.
