has found its Ruthye Mary Knolle, with Deadline reporting that Eve Ridley has joined onto the cast of the upcoming DCU film.
Ridley will join Milly Alcock and Matthias Schoenaerts in the film, the former of whom was tapped to play the titular role of Supergirl earlier this year.
Ridley is a relative newcomer, and is best known so far for her role in the Netflix sci-fi series Three Body Problem, where she plays Vera Ye.
In the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comic series that the upcoming film is based on, Ruthye Mary Knolle is a warrior that enlists the help of Supergirl to find Krem of the Yellow Hills (played by Schoenaerts), the man who killed her father.
The film will be directed by Craig Gillespie, who is known for making 2007’s Lars and the Real Girl, 2011’s Fright Night, 2017’s I, Tonya, 2021’s Cruella, and, most recently, 2023’s Dumb Money.
