Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 Remake shows new trailer as preorders go live

A new trailer for Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 Remake has debuted ahead of the game’s upcoming release with preorders now live.

Koei Tecmo will bring the reinvigorated grand strategy game to PS4, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch late next month on October 24th.The latest trailer gives fans an overview of the many systems and features at play.

For those completely new to Romance of the Three Kingdoms, it’s an ongoing series of historical grand strategy titles that originated in 1985, allowing players to command armies during ancient China’s Warring States period.

It’s the same setting used in Koei’s flagship Dynasty Warriors franchise which is being rebooted early next year with the launch of Dynasty Warriors: Origins in January 2025.ROTK fans each have their own favourite in the series, though 8 remains one of the most pivotal and popular instalments.

Koei and developer Kou Shibusawa seem to think so, with Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 Remake receiving more than just a simple remaster treatment.
