Rey Star Wars Movie With Daisy Ridley Finds New Writer

, the upcoming Star Wars movie that will be focused on Daisy Ridley as Rey Skywalker, has found a new writer. Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy is making her narrative feature film debut with Star Wars: New Jedi Order.

The movie is set after the events of 2019’s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and will follow Rey as she acts as a mentor to a new batch of Jedi.

Further plot details are being kept under wraps at this time. Per The Hollywood Reporter, George Nolfi has now been hired to write the script for the movie.

Nolfi previously wrote 2003’s Timeline, 2004’s Ocean’s Twelve, 2006’s The Sentinel (which he also produced) and 2007’s The Bourne Ultimatum.

He made his feature film directorial debut in 2011 with The Adjustment Bureau before he then went on to make 2015’s Allegiance, 2016’s Brith of the Dragon, 2020’s The Banker, and 2024’s Elevation.
