Wolfire Studios and Dark Catt Studios lawsuit against Valve has been given class action status by a US judge. That's according to GamesIndustry.biz, which reports that it has seen court documents saying that the antitrust case is transforming into a larger legal dispute that could involve many more developers, publishers and individuals.

Wolfire's case was initially filed back in April 2021 and claimed that Valve used anti-competitive practices such as its 30 per cent revenue sharing agreement.

United States District Judge Jamal N. Whitehead has ruled that any developers, publishers or individuals that have paid Valve the aforementioned 30 per cent on or after January 28th, 2017 are eligible to become part of the class action.

Dark Catt Studios filed a similar lawsuit against Valve in June 2021. A July 2022 court order ruled that the two cases could be combined into one complaint.
