It's been over four years since we last covered the Gothic Remake. As you might remember, it all began with the so-called Playable Teaser that appeared suddenly on Steam in December 2019.
The Gothic PT (which is still available for download on Steam) didn't exactly earn a great reception from fans, who thought it made far too many changes to the original formula, starting with the excessively bright colors.
THQ Nordic gathered all the feedback and returned to fans in February 2020, announcing that the Gothic Remake would be made after all and would be far grittier than the Playable Teaser. After four years, it looks like we might be inching closer to a release window. Yesterday, THQ Nordic unveiled the limited Gothic Remake Collector's Edition, now available for pre-order via the official website.
