Fans Spot A Massive Marvel Rivals Data Vulnerability, But It Isn't As "Dangerous" As Claims Have Made It Seem

screenrant.com

Aplayer discovered that there is a way for scammers and cheaters to gain access to all PC data, including passwords, control over players' PCs, and even install apps without the user noticing.

Though these claims on the surface seem terrifying and have made players want to quit altogether, there is crucial information that may not be understood by those reading about the data vulnerability.

A recent Reddit post from Shadowangel09 highlighted an article by PCGamer that discusses the vulnerability spotted by player and YouTuber Shalzuth, which showcases how cheaters can gain access to a player's most personal data. Though this is entirely possible, the likelihood of it happening to most users is very unlikely for one major reason.

Shalzuth shows fans a bit of a demo of how this data-retrieving process works, as they load up and use an exploit tool to search for packets with Admin privileges.

Doing so allowed Shalzuth to completely take over the laptop used for the demo, which had fans extremely concerned, and rightfully so.
