When Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 released last month, Microsoft proudly declared it the biggest Call of Duty launch ever, with the game seeing significant year-on-year increases in sales on PlayStation and Steam and even setting a record for Game Pass subscriber adds on launch day.
Now, a month later, we have more details to shed light on how the shooter has continued to perform in its early days- and unsurprisingly, it’s going from strength to strength.
Taking to Twitter, Activision has revealed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 saw the highest number of players, matches played, and hours played by its total player base in its first 30 days than any other Call of Duty in the past, making it the series’ biggest ever launch month in terms of player engagement. “Thank you to the Call of Duty community for continuing to make the launch of Black Ops 6one for the record books,” the company wrote.
Reports over the last couple of weeks have also revealed that the game was the biggest selling game for the month of October in both the US and the UK.
Presumably, it will have continued to sell better than most other games on the market throughout November as well, especially based on the impressive start it got off to.
