Today, Sonos is adding support for Amazon Music Ultra HD and Dolby Atmos for a handful of its speakers. 2021 seems to be the year lossless and high-resolution music goes mainstream. Closing out 2021, Amazon Music, Apple Music, Tidal, Qobuz, and Deezer all now support high-resolution music in some way, shape, or form.
Amazon Music specifically goes all in and supports hi-res lossless (Ultra HD) audio up to 24-bits at 192 kHz. The service also supports spatial audio via the Dolby Atmos codec.
