Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass subscription service constantly adds new games to the lineup, but it also removes titles on a regular basis as well. Typically, a batch of games are removed from Xbox Game Pass in the middle of each month, with another batch removed at the end of the month. January 2022 is no exception to that rule, with Microsoft removing four games from Xbox Game Pass as of January 31, 2022.
Xbox Game Pass subscribers were given a couple of weeks notice about the games leaving Game Pass at the end of January, so they should have had plenty of time to play through them. However, those who are still wanting to play these games after today should note that they can pick them up right now at a discount. Xbox Game Pass games are available at a 20% discount while they're on the service, so it doesn't cost quite as much for those interested to buy the games to keep.

The four games leaving Xbox Game Pass on January 31, 2022 are Cyber Shadow, Nowhere Prophet, Prison Architect (for the PC version of Game Pass), and Xeno Crisis. All four of these games were relatively well-received when they originally launched, especially in the case of Cyber Shadow. Cyber Shadow had strong reviews at the time of its original release last January, so it's definitely a bummer to see it go.
Cyber Shadow was a day one Xbox Game Pass game last year, and like many other third-party Game Pass titles, it's making its departure after having been available on the service for an entire calendar year.
