Korean Diablo II: Resurrected streamer Shery has released a video outlining one of the latest new Runeword announcements from Blizzard that will be released in the upcoming Patch 2.4 for Diablo II: Resurrected. This helm-based Runeword, Wisdom, is a low-endgame level Runeword with fairly low Rune costs.Disclaimer: This version of the runeword Wisdom is based on an unofficial preliminary translation! Wisdom Diadem 'PulIthEld' Required Level: 64 Piercing Attack +30% Enhanced Defense +20% Bonus to Attack Rating 15% Damage Taken goes to Mana 5% Mana Stolen per Hit +5 Mana per Kill Cannot be Frozen +10 Energy Socketed (3) Looking at the unofficial translation Wisdom, a few things stand out regarding this wondrous runeword:
Both Ith and Eld are very cheap runes which drop in Normal difficulty, while Pul can still be found through Nightmare Hellforge. The screenshot indicates a required level of 64 — however, this only applies to the Diadem used for this 3-socket runeword. Wisdom's highest rune, Pul, and thus Wisdom as a whole, should only have a level requirement of 45! The Piercing Attack modifier causes projectiles to go through a first target and still hit a secondary target for full damage.
It can usually be found on Amazon bows and crossbows like Stormstrike or Buriza-Do Kyanon, indicating that this runeword is perfectly tailored for Amazon leveling. We also know that Amazons will see substantial buffs to Bow and Crossbow skills with Patch 2.4.
The viability of this runeword depends on Piercing Attack's efficiency. In Diablo 2, this flat-looking modifier actually has a hidden percentage value.
For example, Stormstrike has a 25% chance to pierce while Buriza-Do Kyanon's piercing chance is 100%. Providing Mana per Kill.
