Jeymes Samuel’s feature directorial debut was announced in 2019 — however, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, its production was pushed back. On November 3, the film premiered on Netflix, and with The Harder They Fall’s star-studded cast and unique premise, the producers opted for a straight-to-streaming release over the typical release models of other studios.
