Rihanna began the Super Bowl Halftime Show hovering over the football field on a moving platform. And you aren't alone in noting the similarities to Final Destination from the Super Smash Bros. series.
Social media was aflutter with posts pointing out how Rihanna looked like the newest challenger to join the fray in Super Smash Bros. People joked she was battling with no items and even photoshopped Kirby and Captain Falcon fighting around her.

Former NFL quarterback and current analyst Robert Griffin III even tweeted that she was performing on a Smash Bros. stage. The game is clearly popular with top athletes, as we recently learned Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow likes to play Smash Bros. on flights as Ness.
Hilariously, Rihanna herself has tweeted about Nintendo in the past, with a expletive-filled post from 2014 saying, «Super f**cking Mario!!!!!» Though we're doubtful this is all enough to get her added as a DLC character for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Nintendo recently updated the sales numbers for the game. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has now sold over 30 million copies, meaning it's the third best-selling title for Switch.
