The first gameplay footage of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has been shown at The Game Awards 2022. The game is set to come out on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC sometime in 2023.
The gameplay showed the Defenders of Mankind taking on the horrors that dwell in the darkness. Plenty of skeletons, demons, and other monsters were shown, along with a lot of third-person shooting and melee combat.
Space Marine 2 is the long-awaited sequel to Relic Entertainment's third-person shooter, released back in 2011. This second game, in development at Saber Interactive, will once again follow the journey of Ultramarine Captain Titus, now taller and stronger thanks to his Primaris upgrade.
The reveal CGI trailer showed him and his squad carving their way through a horde of tyranids, and only showed gameplay in tiny snippets. Today's new trailer gives us a much better view of the gameplay.
