VSFighting, perhaps the UK’s most prestigious fighting game tournament, will make its grand return this week for the first time in three years. Players from across the UK, Europe, and wider international communities will gather together once again in a bid to lay claim to bragging rights in some of today’s (and even some of yesterday’s) hottest scrappers.
The annual throwdown, which has run yearly since its inception in 2010, has been on hiatus since 2019 — impacted by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and its related lockdown rulings. The coming weekend will see the 10th iteration of the tournament, once again hosted by West Midlands FGC Electronic Dojo, return to the Millennium Point complex in Birmingham for three days of sweet ‘n’ salty action.
“For a community that demands face-to-face competitive action, the last two years have been tough, so we’re super excited to finally be back,” said Electronic Dojo head Justin Xavier. “We’re expecting incredible things for the FGC over the next few years and we hope to put on an event that signals the start a great run!”
