IGN is pleased to reveal that Voidtrain, the interdimensional survival game in which you pilot a train through the terrifying void, is finally coming to Steam this October.
Voidtrain has been available in Early Access on the Epic Games Store since August 2021, but developer HypeTrain Digital has now announced that the game's next stop is Steam, and it will pull into Valve's station in just a few months.
Not familiar with Voidtrain? As the new trailer above explains, it's a co-op first-person survival game in which you build an interdimensional train and pilot it through the void. That void just so happens to be filled with treasures and deadly creatures, so you and your crew must strap on your best weapons and head out into the world to find puzzles, secrets, and challenges, as well as resources for improving your gear and train.
As you build up your train, it will expand from a small trolley to a huge interdimensional express line. It can be fully customised, with engines inspired by various eras.
Right now Voidtrain is available discounted on Epic Games Store until June 16. It recieves regular updates, which will all be available in the Steam version when it launches in October. The recent Stolen Treasure update added imporved enemy AI, a new weapon system, more puzzles, and new void creatures.
