Displaying its ‘peak’ tech moment, a Swiggy agent in the city did the unthinkable by booking Dunzo, a doorstep delivery app, to deliver a customer’s order. The incident has left netizens in stitches and the reactions are absolutely hilarious. In what is being called a moment of tech outsourcing gone wild, the incident has reminded us of how well connected India’s digital economy has become today. The incident was shared by Twitter user Omkar Joshi. He shared a screenshot of a conversation with a friend, who witnessed this moment first-hand. The friend had placed an order on the food delivery app Swiggy. However to his surprise, it was not a Swiggy’s iconic orange uniform clad gentleman delivering the order, it was a man in a sea green shirt with ‘Dunzo’ written on it.
He narrated the incident in the WhatsApp screenshot. The post stated, “I ordered a coffee on Swiggy from CCD. The delivery guy picked it up but was too lazy to come deliver it here. So, he DUNZO-ED IT TO ME”. But the best part is what happened after the delivery. He received a call from the Swiggy agent who said, “bheiya maine Dunzo kar diya hai, please 5 star rating de dena” (I’ve Dunzo-ed your order, please give me a 5 star rating).
