There's a truly disturbing way to take out Venom in the Marvel Universe, but it shouldn't ever be used on the symbiotic Lethal Protector. While Venom has consistently posed a danger to Peter Parker's life, and even the safety of his loved ones, the surefire way of ending the symbiote isn't worth employing at any cost.
In 2005's Marvel Zombies by Robert Kirkman and Sean Phillips, a zombie virus overtakes the world and infects several major heroes. Unlike other zombie stories, the Avengers still retain their intelligence and personalities despite being undead. However, they're all driven by an all-consuming hunger for human flesh, which helps them regain their mental capacities when consumed. Once the world runs out of fresh human meat for the zombified superheroes to devour, they turn their attention to Galactus. Attacking and consuming the World Devourer using the Power Cosmic they gained by eating the Silver Surfer, the gigantic villain's power allows the zombies to leave Earth and start eating entire planets.

While they manage to consume Galactus, the former heroes have to fight for their massive meal ticket against a horde of zombified villains who are just as hungry. This includes heavyweights like Juggernaut (who is taken down by Wolverine) and Venom, who naturally faces off against Zombie Spider-Man for the right to devour the World Devourer. However, Spider-Man notices that Venom isn't as strong as a member of the undead as he was in life. Having taken a fatal blast of the Power Cosmic, Eddie reveals that the symbiote was already dying from being bonded with a zombie.
