Given that the platform is responsible for housing popular content creators like Amouranth, Asmongold, xQc, and many more, the site is able to pull in millions of viewers every day. As a result, fans watch hours upon hours of streams, and the most recent figures show that the Amazon-owned service is doing pretty well for itself.
According to a recent story from GamesIndustry.biz, Twitch has amassed around 1.7 billion hours in terms of content watched. And that's just for the month of July. However, the report goes on to say that this is slightly less than the two billion that was logged at the start of this year, and the platform has yet to reach the numbers that it did in January. However, 1.7 billion is still a pretty significant figure, showing that gamers and streaming fans are watching a plethora of content en masse.

This is especially substantial when compared to the viewing figures of alternative streaming sites like YouTube Gaming and Facebook Gaming. The numbers show that the former logged 292 million hours last month and the latter 424 million hours. By themselves, these are still impressive numbers, but they obviously pale in comparison to what Twitch is pulling in. In terms of most-watched categories on Twitch, it looks as though «Just Chatting» topped the chart with 255 million hours, while the most watched game was League of Legends with 113 million.
