Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is now available, and fans have been exploring every nook and cranny of Tina’s fantasy world. While there are plenty of neat secrets to find within the locations themselves, a Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands fan has found an awesome detail on one of the game’s weapons.
The detail in question is tied to red text, a feature that has been an aspect of Borderlands from the very beginning. Found on certain Rare, Epic, and Legendary gear, red text is used to signify that the item players have in their inventory is special in some way. Usually, red text is used to either reference something specific — likeStar Wars or Marvel properties — or to hint at something special that the weapon or shield does. In the case of Reddit user nmpo, the red text followed the latter path.

As shown in their Reddit post, the weapon in question was a Hyperius Sniper Rifle called the Aphotic Antique Greatbow. On first glance, the weapon’s stats are incredible, and fans of either Sniper Rifles or Hyperion weaponry could want to pick it up. However, for those that do not plan on sniping their way through Queen’s Gate or Mount Craw, the gun serves another purpose. As revealed by the weapon text, the weapon sells for significantly more than other guns if it is never fired, giving players a reason to keep it in their inventory instead of trying it out themselves.
With this Hyperius sniper needing to be in a pristine state to sell for a lot of gold, though, the red text message staying the same once it is fired would not make much sense.
