After many were disappointed by Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, fans were cautiously optimistic about Legends: Arceus. It looked new and exciting, but the graphics left a lot to be desired. Thankfully, it’s a smash hit so far, with both fans and critics. There are positive reviews across the board, as the game is largely seen as a bold new direction for the series, one that players hope Nintendo will stick with in future instalments, rather than going back to the same old, tired formula.
There’s plenty to love with Pokemon Legends: Arceus, but Akari is stealing the show right now - if she’s your rival, rather than the player character. Akari and her male counterpart Rei have pretty different personalities if they’re in the rival position, with Rei always looking confused, and Akari constantly angry. It’s her facial expressions that players love the most, especially since we don’t get this in many Pokemon games.
Legends: Arceus is full of changes to the Pokemon world as we know it, and one of them was particularly surprising.
