A fan has used over 1,500 mods to transform the 11-year-old The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim into something that would look at home alongside the most modern of AAA releases. Skyrim has been re-released multiple times since its original launch, sporting a graphical upgrade with each new version, and the community is constantly upgrading the game themselves with a plethora of new mods.
Skyrim is an impressive enough game on its own thanks to its vast open-world and expansive storylines, and it's one fans keep returning to, which explains Bethesda's reasoning behind porting and re-releasing the 2011 RPG on as many devices as possible. Although the base game's world still looks visually impressive, technology has moved on quite rapidly over the decade since its original release, and despite its remasters, it has begun to show its age when compared to the latest AAA titles. As a result, many fans have taken it upon themselves to enchance the title with a variety ofSkyrim improvement mods that include higher resolution textures and shaders, and modern features such as ray-tracing and higher frame rates.

YouTube channel Digital Dreams (via Game Rant) has compiled over 1,500 of these mods to greatly improve Skyrim's visual quality, and their 13-minute video shows the Dragonborn exploring a variety of stunning locations with overhauled lighting and weather systems.
