The sequel to Breath of the Wild was officially unveiled during yesterday's Nintendo Direct, in a brief but lush game announcement trailer. And Zelda fans think they might've spotted something in the one-minute-and-a-half video which could be a clue as to how many dungeons might appear in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
In the opening moments of Tears of the Kingdom's trailer, signs and symbols appear on a wall, lit by firelight, and these inscriptions could hold answers, according to one popular theory (thanks Comicbook). Some of the symbols appear to show Link and Zelda, while others depict beasts or monsters we have yet to meet. But one wall depiction, around 30 seconds in, could be a clue as to how many dungeons we could expect.

It shows some kind of creature, or it could be a person wearing an elaborate costume, standing on a plinth. Around them are arrayed seven symbols that could be tears. These seven "tears" could be linked with seven dungeons. This is because in previous Zelda games, there have been similar instances of this sort of thing.
In the N64 classic, Ocarina of Time, for example, players had to gather six medallions before they could tackle the final boss. These medallions had to be unlocked by completing certain dungeons/temples. Perhaps the number of these tears shown in in Tears of the Kingdom's trailer could also mean players have to either collect some sort of item and/or finish seven dungeons or tasks in order to progress.
It wouldn't be too beyond the realm of logic associated with Zelda games, and since modern games tend to have more of most things, seven dungeons is an increase on the six temples
