The first footage of the Lion King realm in Disney Dreamlight Valley has been shown.
The new realm, which is due in April, was revealed during the Nintendo Direct presentation held on Wednesday.
Although Dreamlight Valley is set to get a new update next week, the brief clip of the game during the Direct instead showed footage from the update after that, which will arrive in April.
It showed the player running through a Lion King environment, as well as Simba and Nala arriving in the valley.

Realms are different to the different regions on the map in Dreamlight Valley, in that they’re separate standalone areas.
Players can access them through the castle at the top of the map – currently there are realms for Toy Story, Moana, Frozen, Wall-E and Ratatouille.
Before the April update arrives, the third major Disney Dreamlight Valley update is coming on February 16.
The update, titled A Festival of Friendship, will add Mirabel from Encanto and Olaf from Frozen as new characters.
A Festival of Friendship will also extend the main story, explore the Frosted Heights biome, and add a new Star Path (Dreamlight Valley’s battle pass equivalent) themed around Disney’s 100th anniversary.
The studio recently announced Disney Dreamlight Valley’s early 2023 content roadmap, as well as the news that the April update would include the Lion King realm. The April update’s Star Path will be themed around Disney Parks.
The addition of Simba and Nala won’t be the first Lion King presence in the game. Scar was introduced in its first major update last October.
