Ubisoft’s post-apocalyptic RPG series makes its leap into mobile with The Division: Resurgence. As the next chapter in the console series, mobile players will be able to experience an all-new exclusive story in one of Ubisoft’s strongest franchises.
A free-to-play third-person RPG, The Division: Resurgence is a unique Division experience just for us mobile gamers. Bringing the best of the console games to smartphones, Ubisoft says that the game is a full AAA experience in our pockets.
Taking place in an America destroyed after a viral outbreak, Resurgence let’s us play as an agent of the Strategic Homeland Division. As an agent of this special group, we have to fight to restore peace in multiple cities.
Resurgence’s PvE campaign will be an entirely new story, albeit one that recounts events from previous games. The new story aims to offer a new perspective on the prior games’ narratives.
Just like the console games, you will explore a beautifully detailed open-world environment. Streets will be populated by players and NPC enemies, the latter belonging to multiple factions.
As well as completing quests, you’ll have to loot areas and enemies to find new gear. Loot will include new outfits, weapons and crafting materials to improve your agent. At anytime, you’ll be able to switch specialisations to optimise your character.
Ubisoft is aiming for a 2023 release date for The Division: Resurgence. However, players will be able to play the game before its official release date in a number of upcoming test opportunities.
Much like games like Diablo Immortal, players will be able to sign up for alpha and beta tests on Android and iOS. If you want to get in on the early play tests, follow this link here.
