The Callisto Protocol, a sci-fi space horror game coming from Striking Distance Studios and the creator of Dead Space, is due out on December 2, 2022. However, we're getting a new release date courtesy of Epic Games.
As spotted by ResetEra user AshenOne, Epic's Halloween Sale now lists The Callisto Protocol as available starting February 12, 2023. So far, there's been no mention of a two-month delay from Striking Distance, and all the other store pages--including Epic's own Game Store--list The Callisto Protocol as coming December 2.

It could just be a mistake, as Epic’s post noted Dead Island 2 has a February 2023 release date. It seems possible that whoever made the post might have mixed up the dates with Callisto Protocol. Or Epic might have some insider information that was just accidentally shared in a Halloween Sale post along with Dying Light 2 and Evil Dead: The Game being 40 percent off for a limited time.
We got to see a preview of The Callisto Protocol at GamesCom last month when our own Issy van der Velde called it a worthy successor to Dead Space's throne. "It’s like Dead Space in all the best ways. It’s creepy, tense, violent, and looks like it’ll be an absolute blast to play," he wrote. "We don’t need a remake of Dead Space. We need an evolution from it, and The Callisto Protocol is exactly that."
Part of what will keep bringing players back for more is The Callisto Protocol's "murder desserts."
