Here we are on the cusp of yet another big event in the world of gaming. I’m of course referring to Gamescom. While you can expect plenty of news over the course of this coming week, today was definitely no slouch in any respect, leaving us with more than a few big stories. We for example heard about how the Knights of the Old Republic Remake has changed hands, the game modes in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet have been revealed, and there might not be a Blade game in the works after all. The gaming giant Sony has just been handed a huge bill for overcharging PlayStation players. The matter is currently in the courts and so it remains to be seen if the company will actually have to pay, but if a consumer rights champion by the name of Alex Neill has their way, Sony will soon be getting served a big invoice. "The game is up for Sony PlayStation," Neill remarked. "With this legal action, I am standing up for the millions of UK people who have been unwittingly overcharged. We believe Sony has abused its position and ripped off its customers. The actions of Sony are costing millions of people who can't afford it, particularly when we're in the midst of a cost of living crisis and the consumer purse is being squeezed like never before." The company was allegedly “ripping people off” by charging a 30 percent commission on sales.
