Tarisland has launched globally, bringing Tencent's fantasy MMO to PC, iOS, and Android.
Tencent's fantasy MMO has been in development for a few years now, and today's launch brings its fantasy world to players worldwide. A cross-platform MMO, players can jump in for free on PC or mobile, carrying their journey with them, regardless of what device they're on.
Season 0 kicks off today alongside the launch, bringing five five-player dungeons for players to explore. Additionally, Season 0 of Tarisland brings eight ten-person raid bosses, with each of these challenges varying in difficulty for parties to overcome.
Tarisland boasts nine classes, from the Paladin to the Mage, and has even started to take in player feedback byrolling back the initial gender-locked design. Whether all classes will get this treatment remains to be seen, but the Paladin and Mage are a start.
Tarisland is also running a launch promotion, where players logging in right now can claim a pet, the Siamese, while those who pre-registered are getting the Prosperity Seeker dog and the Noble Unicorn mount. While it's free-to-play, Tarisland does have in-game microtransactions, which, in the marketing, the developers swear is not pay-to-win, but we'll be checking out that claim, as well as whether this new MMO is worth your time in our upcoming review.
