Survival horror RPG Chernobylite has announced its PS5 and Xbox Series X/S release date, confirming a host of new-gen improvements and enhancements, and revealing the upgrade will be free for existing owners. Chernobylite features hyper-realistic horror environments, and is set in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, where players must confront both their past and the enemies lurking around every corner.

The title, from developer The Farm 51, was designed to be as faithful to the real-world Chernobyl as possible, with the team utilizing 3D scanning of Pripyat, Ukraine, and its surrounding areas to create a realistic in-game counterpart. The game features a mixture of supernatural threats and an ominous military presence as players explore Chernobylite's dark and chilling world, aiming to solve its secrets.
