The remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic has allegedly been delayed for an indefinite period of time following reports of troubled development.
This is according to a new article by Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier, who explains that people familiar with the project are saying it's in serious trouble. Schreier also claims that the game's developer, Aspyr Media, abruptly fired both the art and design directors this month. Aspyr's studio heads have reportedly put the entire project on pause while the developer looks for "new contracts and development opportunities."

The KOTOR remake was announced during a PlayStation Showcase back in 2021 and was later confirmed to be a PS5 exclusive. Details have been sparse about the title since its reveal, but we do know that Saber Interactive has been working with Aspyr and that it was rumored that the title was expected to release at some point in 2023. Now that these two directors have been fired and the project has been put on pause, the epected release window for the titlee has been thrown into question.
This is a developing story.
