At long last, publisher Square Enix has added thousands of its classic music tracks to an official Square Enix Music Channel on YouTube. For the longest time, game soundtracks like Final Fantasy OSTs have been relegated to fan-made YouTube channels, often resulting in copyright strikes and other drastic measures from the publisher.
Square Enix began alleviating the problem a few years ago in 2019 by adding a slew of original soundtracks to its official Square Enix Music page on Spotify. The company raised the bar even higher in March 2021 upon unlocking access to Final Fantasy lof-fi in the form of a Spotify «Chill Out» album. These moves were all very impressive, especially when compared to the way in which the likes of Nintendo operate on this particular front; however, fans believed Square Enix still had a long road ahead of it in the music streaming department. Fortunately, the publisher recognized as much, too, evidenced by a recent series of delightful events.

Twitter user Miraculous Make shared a post pointing out that just yesterday, March 8, the Square Enix Music Channel received numerous updates that added classic game tracks to the playlist, including several original Final Fantasy soundtracks. The Final Fantasy OSTs alone range from FFI and FFVII to FFIX and FFXIII-2. Thankfully, a wide variety of other Square Enix-owned brands received the love, too, with NieR: Automata's Piano Collections appearing in its own playlist, for example. The publisher's beloved Chrono, Mana, and SaGa franchises all have separate playlists featured on the channel, as well. Miraculous Make's post on the matter reads as follows:
