Developer Aggro Crab has released a new trailer for its latest game, the Soulslike action-adventure game Another Crab's Treasure. Crabs may not draw an immediate connection to a Soulslike action game for many gamers, but that's something Aggro Crab plans to correct with Another Crab's Treasure. To help punch home just what the hermit crab protagonist of Another Crab's Treasure can do, Aggro Crab's new trailer features an extended look at one of the game's boss fights.
A Soulslike game isn't just an action game. It's about creating unique worlds to explore that are rich in detail and story. While Aggro Crab hasn't shown a significant amount of its crab game yet, it has certainly introduced a unique and beautiful underwater world. Instead of a sword and shield, players will wield trash that they've gathered from the dying environment. Similarly, the crab's enemies will also be well-equipped for this undersea society where only the strongest survive.
Another Crab's Treasure is a New Soulslike Game Based on Crabs
The boss that Aggro Crab is now introducing is an excellent example of the world found in Another Crab's Treasure. It's named the Polluted Platoon Pathfinder, and it's a crab covered in both trash and barnacle. One claw is knotted in rope, the other holds a glass bottle, and upon its head is a scrap of a plastic trash bag. This may be the kind of creature the hermit crab has to become to survive in Another Crab's Treasure, a monstrous reflection of the dying land they inhabit and a proper Soulslike boss.
