But sometimes, people become a little cocky when it comes to approaching the fire and ice-breathing creatures, and sometimes it can be fun to taunt them a little.
Uploading a brief clip to the Skyrim subreddit recently, user Amauer decided to see what it would take to wake up a sleeping dragon. It becomes pretty clear, despite how short the video is, that when a dragon is slumbering, it seems to take a while to rouse it. If there's one thing that gamers have a propensity to do, it's experiment with the games they love to see what works and what doesn't.

In this case, it seems that dropping a set of heavy Ebony armor that Skyrim is known for does not apparently wake up the dragon. Banging said armor against something on the ground also doesn't seem to do the trick, neither does bonking it on the head with the weighty cuirass. In all of these instances, the dragon remains restful, almost stoic against the player's efforts. However, once they break out their fire spell and unleash some heat onto the animal's face, that's when the tides change and the beast rises from its restful sleep to attack.
