The Elder Scrolls series is one of the longest running RPG franchises in all of gaming. With Morrowind recently celebrating its 20th anniversary, Bethesda's epic has a long history and a huge community of supporters. Given that Skyrim is the latest and most successful entry, the fan base is still knee-deep in the game's lore, but there are those who have been adding to it this past decade or so with the implementation of mods. Sometimes these custom add-ons include crossovers with other franchises, like one created by modder Pande4360.
Called «Star Wars Redux 2022,» Pande4360's mod is an updated version of a previous one. This newest iteration was uploaded a few days ago to Nexus Mods and, as the name implies, allows players to get their Star Wars on within the world of Skyrim. For starters, it replaces all Civil War soldiers with Stormtroopers, and all the Stormcloaks with Rebels. There are also, of course, lightsabers and blasters, and it's even possible to use the lightsaber to block incoming shots. A video shows the mod in action, and with it demonstrated in third-person perspective, it really gives it an almost retro Star Wars game vibe.

This is also not the first time someone has incorporated the ubiquitous sci-fi saga into Bethesda's open-world RPG. Last August, another fan used a series of mods to turn Skyrim into Star Wars. This particular effort, which is called «Star Wars Worlds» and created by user gg77, changes the visuals of the Elder Scrolls title so that it more closely resembles the movies' aesthetics. It also allows players to control both Darth Vader and Darth Maul.
