Halloween is a time of year when many players like to take inspiration from their favorite games to come up with some creative decorations, and now one Skyrim fan has taken the opportunity to pay seasonally appropriate tribute to Bethesda’s beloved RPG. Though not especially scary, the fan-made display looks like it would be right at home in one of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim’s many dark and dreary dungeons.
The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is one of the most successful video games of all time and has developed a dedicated fanbase among both hardcore and casual gamers drawn in by the game’s open world fantasy setting. Since its debut in 2011, Skyrim has been released for nearly every piece of hardware capable of running the game, including three generations of Sony and Microsoft consoles, with Nintendo fans even getting a surprise release of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Annversary Edition for Switch earlier this year. When a game has that sort of broad reach and availability it’s no wonder some fans are eager to create their own creative tributes to the title.

In a post on r/Skyrim, user secondbreakfastspoon shared a photo of the Skyrim-themed Halloween display they created. The display looks like it would be any Skyrim alchemist’s dream setup, showing a shelf full of dusty bottles filled with strange substances and labeled with the names of in-game ingredients like Moon Sugar and Frost Salts. In the center of this magical collection players can spot a detailed recreation of the mask of Krosis, one of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim’s dragon priests.
