In a recent interview, Silent Hill creator Keiichiro Toyama said he believes remaking the original would prove much more difficult than remaking the older Resident Evil entries. Given the success of Resident Evil 2 Remake, Silent Hill fans remain hopeful for a remake of Konami's classic survival horror game. Ongoing rumors surrounding the franchise's potential revival, however, indicate that if the series does return, it will do so as a sequel or reboot of some sort.
