A recent post by Rare's Creative Director, Mike Chapman, provided more details about the game and what players can look forward to. Shrouded Islands will kick off a new story for players to experience in Sea of Thieves as they fight through the mysterious mist covering the Golden Sands Outpost. Shrouded Islands will have a series of limited-time, story-driven events starting February 17 and lasting until March 3.
In Sea of Thieves Shrouded Islands, players will uncover the secrets of the mysterious mist covering the Golden Sands Outpost as it continues to spread, along with investigating the disappearance of Captain Flameheart and sightings of the mysterious Belle. Players who want to start Shrouded Islands will need to report to the character Larinna, leader of the Bilge Rats, to do so. Players who need a quick refresher on the lore of Sea of Thieves can use the story primers before each «Adventure» posted on the game's website to get back up to speed.
