Samsung is going on a launch spree as 2023 starts. The company just announced its February 1 launch event for the Galaxy S23 series but prior to that, Samsung is launching a new Galaxy A series device in India on January 18. Samsung is yet to reveal the name of the device launching in India but rumours suggest it could either be the Galaxy A54 or the Galaxy A34. Prior to the expected launch of these two phones, a pair of renders now show us what these phones could look like.
We have seen renders of the Galaxy A54 prior to this but Evan Blass reveals the official renders of the Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A54 from the front. Both the phones look largely identical to the previous generation Galaxy A devices we have seen in the affordable segment. The Galaxy A34 continues to have a waterdrop-style notch for the front camera whereas the Galaxy A54 has a punch-hole style selfie camera.
Sadly, we can't see the rear of these phones but going by the previous leaks, it is easy to figure how these may look. Samsung is settling for a uniform design on its 2023 range of phones, having three camera lenses protrude without any accompanying hump. The display bezels on both the devices seem to be uniform, with a slightly thicker chin.
The Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A54 are expected to use new Exynos chips this year. The Galaxy A34 is said to use a new Exynos 1280 chip, host a 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz, a 48MP main rear camera, a 5000mAh battery to power it all, and a 25W wired fast charging solution. The phone is expected to come with One UI 5 based on Android 13 and should retain the IP67 water and dust resistance.
The galaxy A54, on the other hand, is said to use a new Exynos 1380 chip, host a smaller 6.4-inch FHD+
