Saints Row's content roadmap is getting delayed as Volition instead informs fans that it is working on improvements to the game. With its first title releasing in 2006, the Saints Row series has become an established franchise of exciting open-world action games. Over the span of its first four titles, Saints Row took fans on a journey from being a gang leader to becoming the President of the United States by the time Saints Row 4 rolled around. When fans heard that a new game was on the way, there was an understandable amount of hype.
However, many Saints Row players found themselves somewhat disappointed with the latest game in the series. As a soft reboot of the franchise, the 2022 Saints Row doesn't try to top the adventures of Johnny Gat roaming into hell and instead goes for a gameplay style that better fits the earlier entries. This attempt to return the seriesto its roots fell flat for many, as the reviews for the new Saints Row game were often mixed, critiquing the game for its unfinished state.

Now, Saints Row developer Volition is looking to improve the game rather than shove out new content for it. Initially, Volition had planned on a roadmap of new Saints Row content, but the developer has had to push these plans back in order to release over «200 bug fixes and stability upgrades.» As explained in a new post on the game's website, these fixes will be a part of the Saints Row Autumn Update which drops in late November.
