There are already plenty of Silent Hill theories and leaks, and this latest one suggests that the rumored remake of the 2001 sequel could be split into multiple parts. As one of the most treasured psychological horror games ever made, the second installment in the unnerving series is an iconic entry in the genre. While many would like to see Konami release a brand-new game in the franchise, some would be happy with a remake of SH2, which past speculations have said may be in development.
Luckily, there will be a revelation very soon, as Konami is due to announce Silent Hill news on October 19. What this will entail is anyone's guess at this stage, but it will hopefully shine a massive light on things, vindicating those who have been waiting years for a new game. There are those in the community who have given up hope of any follow-up or reboot of the classic horror titles, but others are still holding out that the developer will confirm that either a new entry is currently on the horizon or at the very least the sequel will be making a comeback in the form of an official remake.
