Roblox may be receiving a Playstation port soon, hinted at by a job listing specifically requesting a software engineer for Playstation. The game creation sandbox offers millions of games mainly created in Roblox by young, independent game developers and is currently available on PC, mobile, and Xbox. Although Roblox has had its fair share of controversies since its launch in 2006, the game has remained steadily popular, especially among younger players.
A majority of the controversies Roblox has faced deal with its massive popularity among minors and the way the community typically treats them. While Roblox Corporation earns around $3 million a day, the mostly young developers who are responsible for the actual games on the website are not earning very much at all. This paired with the fact that about 75% of Roblox players are under the age of 18 and are frequently faced with the risk of internet predators, offensive games, and a surplus of microtransactions, it's not surprising that many are skeptical about the platform. However,the platform has done a decent job of encouraging internet safety and filtering out dangerous content for children, including a new age verification system created in Roblox specifically for the introduction of voice chat.

Roblox may finally be heading to Playstation 4 and Playstation 5 after years of high demand.
