The PlayStation 5 launched one year ago today, and it has been a tremendously successful first year, with 13.4 million consoles sold. But the numbers presumably could have been better were it not for the ongoing chip shortages impacting supply.
PlayStation boss Jim Ryan said in a blog post that he hears the frustrations that fans have about the supply situation, saying Sony is «laser-focused» on doing more to ship as many consoles as possible.
