Sony typically reveals the PS Plus free games on the last Wednesday of a month prior to the first Tuesday of the next. That Tuesday is when Sony will add the new games to the line-up, meaning for February, Sony will likely reveal the new games on January 26 to be released on February 1. Already, February is a busy month for video games with major releases like Horizon Forbidden West, Sifu, Elden Ring, Dying Light 2, and more, but that doesn’t mean PS Plus should pull its punches.
What follows is a simple, fun wish list for PS Plus next month. Although there may be some patterns to PS Plus games, there’s never any telling what Sony may choose, so these should not be taken as official or as fool-proof predictions. While it remains uncertain, Life is Strange: Remastered Collection feels like it may just be a PS Plus title. There are a couple of reasons for this, but first and foremost, its release date is listed as February 1. Several PS5 releases on PS Plus have been day one titles, and Life is Strange: Remastered Collection fits into that bubble perfectly. Plus, when factoring in Sony and Square Enix’s strong relationship and the fact that Life is Strange is guaranteed to have a strong base at launch, it seems like an easy pick. At the same time, it’s also sort of a dream pick, but it would be nice to see on PS Plus for sure.
