Prepare for 5G, says the Telecom Minister. A few weeks ago, the Government of India hosted the first spectrum auction for 5G in India. All three private sector network operators participated and acquired the rights to use the airwaves across various frequencies. Reliance Jio acquired the most frequencies, followed by Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea. The auction also saw Adani Group participate for buying a few airwaves for its personal use. Chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal said, "In my over 30 years of first-hand experience with DoT, this is a first! Business as it should be. Leadership at work-Right at the top and at the helm of telecom.
