Pokémon Japan has officially announced the Pokémon Trading Card Game set Incandescent Arcana, which includes mystical cards like Alolan Vulpix VSTAR. As an iconic and long running part of the monster collection franchise, the trading card game has recently seen a meteoric rise in popularity. While some Pokémon TCG cards are actually worthless, The Pokémon Company has continued putting out new decks that are both beautifully illustrated and financially valuable.
The Pokémon Trading Card Game has followed the video game series since the 1990s, with new Pokémon introduced in the games quickly appearing as colorful new cards to collect. The Pokémon Company frequently puts out new booster packs and sets, allowing the Pokémon TCG to constantly evolve just like its titular creatures. Actually playing the card game is one thing, but many collectors have made massive profit by finding and selling rare Pokémon cards over the years. While a recent rise in popularity for the game many suggest a rise in the value of rare cards, Pokémon TCG card value has actually dropped due to the over-production of cards.
