When it comes to newPokemon games, there are a few things fans have come to hope for and/or expect. For example, every Pokemon game has a simple bug type and bird Pokemon available early on, while some have dog or cat versions of Pokemon too. Many often hope for a new Eeveelution, though these are as rare as they come. One more common expectation is a new Pikachu clone, given how essentially all regions feature one, andPokemon Legends: Arceus may have shed new light on these clones.
Specifically, Pikachu Clones are all the electric mouse Pokemon found in various regions. These include the likes of Plusle and Minun (Gen 3), Pachirisu (Gen 4), Emolga (Gen 5), Dedenne (Gen 6), Togedemaru (Gen 7), Mimikyu (Gen 7), and Morpeko (Gen 8). Fans have called them Pikachu clones since their inception, and it seems Game Freak wants to take advantage of that going forward.
